2024 SheSails National Networking Online event – SAVE THE DATE!

Following the successful SheSails Leadership Conference in October, Australian Sailing is looking to hold another online event for SheSails club representatives and committee members on the the 7th March 2024, as part of celebrations to promote International Women’s Day. The event will hear from the winners of the 2023 SheSails State and National Awards and provide a chance for clubs to learn and share ideas with one another.

Newcastle SheSails Open Regatta

RSYS members Danielle Gerace, Rhian Hughes, Natasha Miller and Karyn Gojnich last weekend joined Newcastle Yacht Club’s She Sails Open Regatta. Eight teams contested the event raced in the club’s fleet of Elliott 6s.

Over 150 Sailors, Coaches and Volunteers worked together to create magic on and off the water

Jocelyn Webb writes, “The long weekend in October marks the start of Daylight Saving – and also the annual Ladies of the Sea two day Coaching regatta. LOTS regatta enables women to learn and grow sailing skills and solidify and make friendships in a safe, fun, nurturing and supportive environment. Over 150 sailors, coaches and volunteers representing nearly 30 clubs, 5 states and (even Hong Kong – LOTS is international!) worked together to create magic on and off the water.

2023 Sydney Harbour Women’s Keelboat Series

Middle Harbour Yacht Club hosted the first of the five race 2023 Sydney Harbour Women’s Keelboat Series on Sunday 24 September and the 22 crews across two divisions enjoyed good racing conditions with a 7-10kt NE on an incoming tide.

National Finalists Announced for the Coveted SheSails Award

The SheSails Award was introduced in 2018 and recognises an individual, group, class or club that makes an outstanding contribution, promotion and/or administration of female participation in sailing. Three incredible finalists have been selected from amongst the state awards winners for the national SheSails Award, with the winner to be announced at the Australian Sailing Awards on Friday November 3.
