Royal Brighton Yacht Club, Sandringham Yacht Club
What Part do you play in our sport?
Sailor; Instructor; on water volunteer
Tell us how you first got involved with Sailing.
I first got involved with sailing at RBYC in there junior program because of my dad and grandfather having sailed there.
There are many pathways in sailing, where has your journey taken you?
I first started sailing and racing in a sabot then I moved to sailing pacers and a bit of RS Quests and Keel boats. I now am sailing a laser radial and am an on water volunteer as well as an assistant instructor.
Whatever part of sailing you belong to, tell us about what you enjoy about your sport?
The new friends I make at sailing and the challenge it gives me and also where it takes me.
What would you say to someone thinking about getting into sailing?
It is a great sport to have a go at. Keep on trying even if at first it seems horrible and if it’s not for you then that's ok

My favourite story was when at the 2020 laser nationals new boat draw my name was picked. That would have been the best day of that regatta
