Tell us how you first got involved with Sailing.
My eldest daughter is passionate about sailing. She started on an Optimist and now sails a radial laser. My middle daughter, who started out on an optimist is now sailing a laser 4.7. My youngest daughter has completed two levels of the Tacker program. My husband also is a sailor for many many years.
There are many pathways in sailing, where has your journey taken you?
We have our own Catamaran, but I love the joy that sailing brings to my girls.
Whatever part of sailing you belong to, tell us about what you enjoy about your sport?
Sailing allows my children freedom, discipline, independence and most importantly Happiness. I also love the interaction with other parents down at the club and going to regattas and watching our kids live their best life.
What would you say to someone thinking about getting into sailing?
Give it a go... ask questions from those doing it already. It is an amazing skill to have.
Tell us your favourite story ….
My favourite story is simply following my girls out on the rib with my husband giving advice. As a family, sailing is something we all enjoy.
