Tell us how you first got involved with Sailing.
My mother put us in a Heron when I was 6 and we both learnt together.
There are many pathways in sailing, where has your journey taken you?
Inshore and offshore racing, cruising, Deliveries, Yachtmaster Offshore, teaching others informally. Always wanted to make a career in the Sport but was turned away too many times.
Whatever part of sailing you belong to, tell us about what you enjoy about your sport?
Nowadays I enjoy Racing on my yacht "Sassy" with friends on my own yacht. I also love hard racing with switched on Crew.
What would you say to someone thinking about getting into sailing?
Go down to the club and get on a boat. Do a course. Dont let anyone tell you “dont do it”. Practice.
Tell us your favourite story ….
My story is in the future and I hope to see it before I die. A female is helming Australia's AC75 in the Americas Cup Challenge. The End.
