"Last week Friday, I had the pleasure of attending Carol Fox’ workshop on 'Confident Communication for Leaders', which was held as part of Australian Sailing’s SheSails, SheLeads initiative.

Together with eight other fantastic women and instructors from the ACT and NSW, Carol challenged us to re-think our assumptions, beliefs and strategies when it came to communicating with our students.

We learnt about the four communication styles & how to adapt to communicating with others whose styles are different to our own; how to resolve conflict and build rapport, and how to use your body language to assert confidence in everyday interactions.

Carol’s techniques were insightful, intuitive, and applying them outside the training course has already been easy. Carol’s warm and affable character created an extremely enjoyable workshop, and I imagine the skills I’ve learnt, and friendships I’ve made will persist for years to come."
