Australian Sailing has developed a range of SheSails artworks for clubs to utilise to showcase their support or to host an event in the lead up to / on International Women's Day, Sunday 8th March:

Event ideas for clubs include:

• Hold a SheSails Discover Sailing Day event for Women’s / Girls in their local community to try sailing on International Women’s Day (Sunday 8th March)
• Offer free Twilight Sailing to women and girls near International Women’s day
• Clubs that already offer OutThere Sailing may consider running a girls OutThere event. This could include having a female instructor or running a She Sails X OutThere Sailing experience to encourage girls who have never tried sailing before to get involved in a positive, social environment.
• Host an afternoon tea/ luncheon or breakfast celebrating the women volunteers/ sailors in the club and what the club is doing to promote a gender equal world
• Take an inventory of the many roles women play in your club and highlight in club newsletters/ social media
• Highlight your local hero (woman or man) that is helping to promote gender equality in sailing
