Mild weather for the last day of the Port Phillip Women's Championship Series

Race Day 5 of the Port Phillip Women Championship Series, the BLISS - Regatta held at Royal Brighton Yacht Club, was sailed last Sunday 1 May on a mild autumn day.The 14 skippers and their crew enjoyed the short course windward / leeward format in 8-12 knots and flat water, though the short course certainly kept the crews busy especially around the marks!

The SheSAILS Tri-Series at Lake Macquarie

The highlight of women’s racing on Lake Macquarie concluded with the last race of the SheSAILS Tri-Series on 20 March hosted by Wangi Amateur Sailing Club (WASC). The series was developed casually between the three competing clubs which included Lake Macquarie Yacht Club (LMYC) and Royal Motor Yacht Club Toronto (RMYCT).

RSAYS Women’s Invitational

Royal  South Australian Yacht Squadron is calling all female sailors (keelboat and dinghy) to come and join the Women’s Keelboat Invitation Race  on Sunday 13th February.

Goolwa SheSails into Clayton Bay

The historic river-port town of Goolwa is located near the mouth of the River Murray. Some 12 kilometres upstream from Goolwa is Clayton Bay on the Murray, near Lake Alexandrina and the Lower Lakes. Within the sailing fraternity, the region is best known for the “Milang to Goolwa Freshwater Classic”, attracting hundreds of trailerable yachts to race in January each year.

Port Phillip Women’s Championship gears up for 2021-22 Series

As restrictions start to ease in Metro Melbourne, we are hopeful that the Port Phillip Women’s Championship Series (PPWCS) can go ahead anticipating a full five race day calendar in 2021 - 2022. The first race the Shirley Freeman Memorial Trophy is planned for November 28th at Hobsons Bay Yacht Club.
